This means, thankfully, that restaurants have now opened their doors once again and we can get back out and about.
But this of course means that hangovers are well and truly back too.
Luckily for us, Liverpool is home to one of the best breakfasts in the UK – and it definitely lives up to its reputation.
We took the time to try the popular breakfast this week, from Dale Street Kitchen in the city centre.
The restaurant, which is tucked away on the far end of the famous street and serves up a range of delicious dishes such as the halloumi wrap and breakfast smoothies, came in at number one on Big 7 Travel’s 25 Best Full English Breakfasts in England this year.
The full English breakfast includes one sausage, two slices of back bacon, baked beans, two eggs cooked to your preference, grilled tomato, button mushrooms, one hash brown, black pudding and a slice of toast from £8.50.
Once the order arrived, I was pleased to find that the food was still mostly warm, though I did consider popping it in the microwave.
The bacon was nice and crispy, with not too much fat on, and while the meal only came with one sausage, it was perfectly done and definitely left you wanting more.
The toast, as expected, arrived cold, though the bread was doughy and perfectly buttered.
While it’s definitely worth checking the wait time on your order beforehand, the full English from Dale Street Kitchen is a must.
Dale Street Kitchen delivers via UberEats.
